How to go about VOTING?

As you may be already aware of it , mass companies that have presented their pre-placement talks have to be voted by the students to give them Recruitment slots.
Eg . If the companies X,Y,Z are to be given the slots with X on day 1,Y on day 2 , Z on day 3

On the sheet that will be provided to you, put 1 ,2 ,3 next to X,Y,Z selecting their slots.
Note : The voting will be done on 17th after your second exam.

Please know details about the companies as to what they are offering ,what position they ll be giving everyone and other such matters.

The goals of the design challenge is to identify new tools that can improve collective intelligence.
THE CHALLENGE:Develop a practical method,tool or technology which helps people work together more efficiently and collectively.

WHO & WHAT:Teams can be formed from groups of students pooling ideas,designs,talents and skills.
HOW:Each team should decide on an area or topic of interest and imagine what the future might be,if the problems of today continue unsolved and unaddressed.

The best ideas will be recommended for the GLOBAL CHALLENGE at SAN JOSE,CALIFORNIA,to be held in March 2010.

National Instruments(Preparation)

This is just a small bit of information collected from one of the seniors,hope it helps everyone.
Please Note:These are just guidelines for your preparation. I'm just publishing the mail which i got from him.

Written round will contain programming questions (basically C, not too much of syntax oriented.), probably OOPS basic concepts, programs to solve quant type questions,some logical questions.

Subsequent round of interviews will test the interviewee's problem solving abilities, most of the times using C programming as the medium.They may also expect programming oriented puzzles.
For guys from CS,IS et al most questions will be based on Data Structures. Other syllabus oriented questions will be very minimal
For guys from EC,EE et al questions based on Signals and Sytems, Digital Communication will be asked. There could be less of programming questions.

To prepare, my suggestion would be solve more programming oriented puzzles, refresh the above mentioned subjects.For those without DS knowledge, know some basics.
